Kickoff Date: Friday , February 21, 2025 Event Date: Friday, February 28, 2025 at 4:00 PM Donations accepted: February 21 , 2025 - March 2, 2025 at 11:59 PM Purpose: Teaching healthy physical, social, and emotional habits while raising funds to maintain smaller class sizes and providing students with the most valuable learning experience possible. Cash and check donations are preferred as we keep 100% of cash and check donations! Make donations online or return cash or check with the enclosed envelope to help your students reach their incentive goals. Share your student’s fundraising webpage by email, text, and post to Facebook/Twitter/Instagram! The average parent has 300 Facebook friends. You'll be surprised what donations come in from distant relatives, friends, and co-workers. Post and see what happens! It’s super easy! Our superstar goal is for each student to raise $160! STEP 2 February 28, 2025 at 4 :00 PM Get COLORFUL in the Color Run! There will be 2 heats with 2 separate run courses to spread the runners out. 1st heat @ 4:05pm for younger grades (Prek-2); 2nd heat @ 4:50pm for older grades (3-5). There can be flexibility if your runner needs to switch heats; however we would like to encourage runners to go during slotted times and enjoy interactive inflatable games, photo opp, concessions, and music while waiting. Wear your Staton Strides for Success T Shirt! (T-Shirts handed out during school on 2/27) The run laps are approx 1/16th of a mile with 4 color stations and fun exercises along the way. Share pictures on social media with #StatonStrides and e-mail statonptoyearbook@gmail.com to be featured on Staton social media or in the yearbook. ****If your runner is allergic to corn, please note that the colored chalk is made of pure corn starch. STEP 3 Student Goals and Incentives! Individual Student Incentives*: 3 Grand prize winners! Catered lunch of your choice with 3 of your favorite Staton people! (this could be friends, teachers, specialists, principal, you get to choose!) Class and Grade Level Incentives! $160 x number of students in class is the class goal! Top class in each grade level : Sweet and Salty Treat! Popcorn and M&Ms , extra recess and name on marquee. Top grade level : Pizza party and name on marquee. When your class reaches a certain percentage of their goal, everyone in the class gets rewarded : Goal is $160 x # of students in class. Class is rewarded at 50%, 75% and 100% of the goal! These incentives are determined by the class and approved by the teacher. Examples include extra recess, pajama day, etc. Teachers can get creative! School Goal and Incentives! $90,000 is the school goal! 10% of all funds raised will go directly to your child’s classroom. Their teacher will pick the most needed classroom items. * Individual incentives will be sent home in student’s backpacks when incentive levels are reached. **Activity based incentives will be completed by the end of March. ***Grand prize, class, grade level, and teacher incentives will be fulfilled by the end of March.
