Mrs. Keller Hello Staton Family! My name is Monica Keller, born and raised in Southern California (a Valley Girl). I relocated to Las Vegas and have lived in Summerlin since 2000. I have been fortunate to be a part of the E.W. Staton community since 2013, making this my 7th year. I love working as a Resource Assistant with such an amazing Resource Teacher, Principal and staff. It has made being a part of Staton such a pleasure. The most rewarding opportunities have been working with 4th and 5th grade students on many levels that help them succeed and show progress. I love being a wife and mother to 3 amazing children. My oldest Reno, is married and blessed us all with a grandson. Roman will start 3rd grade and has attended Staton for the past 5 years. My middle child Bri, is a FIDM Alumni, and is employed by Nordstrom’s as a Visual Artist. My youngest, Dallas, attended Staton from 2014-2016 and will be a sophomore honor student at Palo Verde High School. Watching him play baseball are my happiest moments. We are an outdoors sports loving family! We are often attending Palo, Aviators, and Angels baseball games, Rams football games and Golden Knights hockey games. Go Knights Go! In addition, I enjoy hiking, mountain biking and motorcycle riding, working out, shopping and cooking with my family. Mrs. McGuire Hi my name is Nikki McGuire. I am so thrilled to return for my third year at Staton Elementary School! Ever since I was a child I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I believe this is because I’ve been inspired by all of the educators in my family. When I was 4 years old I moved from Chicago to Las Vegas. I graduated from Green Valley High school, and then moved on to receive my Bachelors in Education. While attending UNLV I was a member of the cheerleading squad. After graduating from UNLV I immediately began teaching in CCSD. While teaching I also received my masters degree in curriculum and instruction and teacher leadership at the University of Phoenix. I have been married for 5 years to my amazing husband who also works in the school district. We have two boxers, Jackson and Finn, that we enjoy taking for walks. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, camping, working out and crafting. Although I’ve been teaching for many years, these past two years at Staton have been very special. The Staton community and staff make going to work everyday a joy! Wish List Edit favorite things

Rather than focusing on memorization of facts, my science class focuses on helping children investigate their questions. Every scientific conclusion began as a mystery. Someone wondered something about the world, and they set out to investigate it. We explore the questions that led to the discovery of facts.” In his personal time, Mr. Hollowood is an avid football and basketball fan of his alma mater, UNLV. As a former member (1989-1994) of UNLV's Star of Nevada Marching Band and Runnin' Rebel Basketball Pep Band, Mr. Hollowood continues his ongoing passion for music of all genres.
