Please DO NOT park in either of the Kiss’N’Go lanes prior to 8:35 to wait for drop off. The front parking lot will be designated for Handicap and Pass Parking Only so they can enter their gate and be walked by a parent/guardian. All others that are parking should park on Sageberry Drive. As a reminder, parents are NOT allowed behind the gates at drop off. Please click HERE to see where they are and how they work. Arrival Time/Dismissal Time For safety reasons, students must not arrive to school prior to 8:35am, as there will be no supervision until that time. Only children are allowed on the playground before school. Students are dismissed at 3:11 pm. If a parent needs to check a student out prior to 3:11 pm, the parent must do so before 2:45 pm to minimize classroom disruptions. The first morning bell rings at 8:50am . At this time, all 1st-5th grade students line up on their assigned dot. All students arriving after 9:00am are tardy and should report directly to the office to receive a tardy slip. Kindergarten students will line up on the kindergarten playground. Visitation and Volunteer Rules All parents must sign in at the front office prior to entering the school for any reason (even if they have a CCSD badge). The 2019 Nevada Legislature passed Senate Bill 185, which makes it easier to volunteer at Clark County School District (CCSD) schools. The fingerprinting law modification will no longer require people who volunteer four or more times a month to go through the fingerprinting process, unless they will be left unsupervised with students. All Staton Volunteers must go through our Volunteer Training Program. Please check with the office to find out when the next training session will be offered. Protect Our Kids - Regulation Policy 4100 Parent Video is a required video in addition to the volunteer training session at Staton Elementary. Please click HERE to view this required video. - What is the Staton PTO? | staton-elementary
Staton PTO 2025 - 2026 School Year Are you ready to meet some amazing parents and help support some of the best teachers in CCSD? Then this is the place! First and foremost THANK YOU to all returning families and sponsors for your continued support. We welcome all new families and donors of any kind to the Staton community. We are excited to see and meet many of you at our various community events, Pioneer nights, at school and/or PTO meetings. Please join the best PTO by clicking here . What does the PTO do? ● The Staton PTO objectives are to build a closer relationship between home and school in order to enhance each child's education, create community building experiences, and enrich Staton's educational environment by providing financial support. ● Our goals are to keep Staton one of the top public elementary schools in Las Vegas, create lasting memories for our students and support our amazing teachers and staff. ● In the 2024-25 school year we were successful in raising over $135,000 to help reduce class sizes and support Staton teaching positions, provide quality classroom materials for each classroom and every student, and replace and ensure new equipment for recess activities all year long. This year we are so excited to be funding and introducing an After School Enrichment Program run by our very own Staton Staff! All of this would not be possible without our hard working, dedicated and generous volunteers and donors! When are the meetings? PTO meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at 9:05am in the MPR or Atrium (weather permitting). If you can’t make our meetings, our minutes are emailed with our monthly PTO email and also available on the Staton website. Does the PTO need help? ● Absolutely! This is a volunteer run organization so we’re always in need of volunteers to donate their time. There are a variety of ways to help and anyone is encouraged to get involved; every little bit counts! The monthly PTO email will list any upcoming volunteer opportunities as well as sign ups are sent out. ● Your $25 membership fee helps to support our goals, events and keeps you in the loop of upcoming events and volunteer opportunities via the monthly PTO email. It also gives you voting privileges to help decide where raised funds will be dispersed. Please join the PTO by filling out our membership form here . Don’t forget to complete both the Google form and payment by clicking “SUBMIT” to ensure membership. ● If you own a business or frequent a business that is looking for a great advertising opportunity, please click on this sponsorship form . We love being able to display our sponsors and appreciate their support! Our goal is to raise $220 per student at Staton. We understand not every family is able to donate. That is why our volunteers work hard to find community sponsors and other donors to fundraise. ● Additional easy ways to support Staton: Check with your employer on charity and donation match options. Scan your box tops into the box top app and make sure your charity is set to Staton Elementary PTO. Enroll in the Kroger Community Rewards program if you shop at Smiths. Attend Pioneer Nights
